Abstract:
A sulfur-modified chloroprene rubber which has a functional group A that is represented by general formula (A) and is positioned at an end of the molecule, and which is configured such that: the mass ratio of the content of a functional group B that is represented by general formula (B) and is positioned at an end of the molecule to the content of the functional group A, namely the mass ratio B/A is 6.00 or less; and the total amount of the functional group A and the functional group B is from 0.10% by mass to 0.60% by mass. (In formula (A), each of Ra1 and Ra2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group, a carboxy group, a carboxylate group, a cyano group, an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted arylthio group; and Ra1 and Ra2 may combine with each other to form an optionally substituted ring.) (In formula (B), Rb represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms.)
