Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sulfuric acid-resistant hot-rolled thick steel sheet that has a sheet thickness of 6.0-14.0 mm and a tensile strength of not less than 490 MPa, and a production method therefor. Provided is a sulfuric acid-resistant hot-rolled thick steel sheet that comprises a prescribed component composition, wherein: tensile strength in a tensile test at normal temperature is not less than 490 MPa; at a position at 1/4 of sheet thickness, the area ratio of ferrite is not less than 70%, the area ratio of bainite is 10-30%, and the combined area ratio of the remaining structure other than ferrite and bainite is less than 5%; and sheet thickness is 6.0-14.0 mm.
