Abstract:
This super-hard alloy has a first hard phase comprising tungsten carbide particles and a bonding phase containing Co and Cr, wherein a WC/WC interface is defined as a region in which the distance X between surfaces of the tungsten carbide particles that adjoin each other over a facing surface length L of 100 nm or more is 5 nm or less in an arbitrary surface or an arbitrary cross section of the super-hard alloy, and at the WC/WC interface where the distance X is 1-5 nm and the concentration of Co atoms is 2 at% higher than the average concentration of Co atoms in the inner part of the tungsten carbide particles, the ratio of the concentration C of Co atoms (C) and the concentration C of Cr atoms (R) (C(R)/C(C)) is 0.17 or more.
