Abstract:
Provided is a supercharger-attached two-stroke engine 1 that can raise gas mileage while preventing the occurrence of abnormal combustion at high load when performing compression hypergolic combustion at low load and spark ignition combustion at high load. When the operation state of an engine body 10 is in a high load-side operation range, an intake variable valve mechanism (intake electric S-VT30) and an exhaust variable valve mechanism (exhaust electric S-VT40) are operated so that at least the valve closing timing of an intake valve 21 and at least the valve opening timing of an exhaust valve 22 are retarded, compared to when the operation state of the engine body is in a low load-side operation range with the same engine rotation speed as the engine rotation speed detected by an engine rotation speed detection means, while satisfying specific conditions.
