Abstract:
A superconducting electromagnet device is provided with: a refrigerant circulation flowpath (6) through which a refrigerant (R) circulates; a refrigerator (12) for cooling the refrigerant (R) vapour in the refrigerant circulation flowpath (6); a superconducting coil (4) which is cooled by the circulating refrigerant (R); a protective resistor (10) for thermally contacting the superconducting coil (4) and having an internal space (S); a high-boiling-point refrigerant supply part (22) for supplying, to the internal space (S) inside the protective resistor (10), a high-boiling-point refrigerant which has a higher boiling point than the refrigerant (R) and which is frozen by the refrigerant (R); and a vacuum insulating vessel (2) for accommodating at least the refrigerant circulation flowpath (6), the superconducting coil (4) and the protective resistor (10).
