Abstract:
A superconducting rotating machine comprising: a stator which includes a tubular stator core and a stator winding wound around the stator core and which generates a rotating magnetic field; a superconducting rotor which is held on the inner peripheral side of the stator so as to be rotated by the rotating magnetic field of the stator and which includes a superconducting squirrel-cage winding having one or a plurality of rotor bars and end rings formed from a superconducting material and a rotor core provided with a plurality of slots that accommodate the rotor bars; a pulse voltage output unit which outputs a pulse voltage for shifting the superconducting squirrel-cage winding to a magnetic flux flow state; and a drive voltage output unit which applies a drive voltage to the stator winding in order to drive the superconducting rotor to rotate, wherein the pulse voltage output from the pulse voltage output unit is superimposed on the drive voltage.
