Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a supercritical cycle in which the design pressure of an intermediate pressure receiver and devices downstream thereof can be set relatively low and manufacturing costs can be reduced, and also the thickness of each device can be reduced and performance can be improved by an amount corresponding to the thickness reduction; and a heat pump hot-water supplier using the supercritical cycle. This supercritical cycle comprises a refrigerant circuit (21) constructed by connecting, by piping, a compressor (9), a radiator (11), a first electronic expansion valve (12), an intermediate pressure receiver (13), a second electronic expansion valve (16A, 16B), and an evaporator (17A, 17B) in this order, wherein: a pressure sensor (34) that detects the intermediate pressure is provided on the downstream side of the first electronic expansion valve (12); and a control means (35) is provided, the control means prohibiting control of the first electronic expansion valve (12) toward the opening direction when the detection value of the pressure sensor (34) satisfies a predetermined intermediate pressure condition.
