Abstract:
Provided are: a support material which is for laminate shaping and is used for laminate-shaping a target three-dimensional structure; and a method for manufacturing a laminate shaped article and a three-dimensional structure using the same. This support material, which contains a heterofunctional group-modified polyvinyl alcohol-based resin obtained by modifying a heterofunctional group of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, and preferably by modifying the heterofunctional group to be a terminal hydroxyl group, can be provided in the form of a filament. Moreover, after a laminate shaped article including a target three-dimensional structure is manufactured, the support material can be removed by washing with water. The generated wastewater has a low environmental load, and thus is easily disposed of.
