Disclosed in the present invention are a support member, a mounting structure of a photovoltaic module, a mounting method and a mounting base surface. The mounting structure at least comprises a first support member and a second support member which are fixedly mounted on a base surface. The first support member and the second support member respectively comprise a first module mounting surface and a second module mounting surface which are spaced apart from the base surface in a vertical direction. The first support member and the second support member are spaced apart from each other. The back surface of a single photovoltaic module is fixedly mounted on the first module mounting surface and the second module mounting surface, and the back surface of the photovoltaic module located between the first support member and the second support member is hollowed out. The present invention can satisfy the reliable mounting requirements of the photovoltaic module, minimizes the consumption of mounting structure materials to a great extent and significantly reduces the weight of the mounting structure.
