Abstract:
The present invention provides an information processing device into which an OS-standard general-use printing program has been incorporated, wherein unintended paper-based printing by a user is reduced. According to an auxiliary program 42, a CPU 11 of a PC 1 acquires printing data, representing an image to be printed as a result of a printing instruction, and paper information, which is information regarding printing paper used in printing as a result of the printing instruction, when the printing instruction, which is output from an editing application 43 and causes a printer 2 to print the image, is present in a general-use printing program 41 that has been incorporated ahead of time into an OS 21. The CPU 11 additionally causes a user interface 13 to display a preview image, which indicates the layout of the image to be printed on the printing paper, on the basis of the paper information and the printing data.
