Abstract:
Disclosed is a surface light source device capable of minimizing a reduction in the optical properties of transmitted light and providing strong adhesion between a light guide plate and an optical sheet. The surface light source device comprises: a light guide plate including a light-emitting surface from which light is emitted; an adhesive layer formed on a portion of the light-emitting surface of the light guide plate; and an optical sheet disposed on the adhesive layer and including a structured surface contacting the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer adheres portions of the light guide plate and the optical sheet together, and may be formed as dots, a plurality of strips, or a mesh having open regions.
