Title:
SURFACE-MOUNTED PIEZOELECTRIC OSCILLATOR, AND PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/064245
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A surface-mounted piezoelectric oscillator comprising a chip-formed IC component arranged and integrated outside a piezoelectric vibrator, wherein a protection structure for the IC component can be attained without using an expensive ceramic container and a lower profile can be attained at the same time; and a piezoelectric vibrator. The surface-mounted piezoelectric oscillator comprises an insulating material-made container (2) provided on the outer bottom thereof with bottom electrodes (3) and IC component-mounting connection pads (4), a piezoelectric vibrator (10) provided with a piezoelectric vibrating element (11) air-tightly sealed in the container, an IC component (20) constituting an oscillation circuit connected with a container’ connection pad, a resin mold layer (25) disposed so as to cover the container outer bottom surface including the IC component, and mounting terminals (30) disposed to be exposed to the bottom surface of the resin mold layer and conducting with bottom electrodes.
