Abstract:
This surface scanning device (3) comprises: an image acquisition means (31) for acquiring a plurality of images of a site being scanned on a coating surface of a workpiece (100), the images being captured by an imaging device (2) in a state in which a pattern of light and darkness from an illumination device (1) that illuminates the site being scanned is moved relative to the workpiece (100); a computation means (32) for calculating a feature quantity representing a surface deficiency with regard to the acquired plurality of images; and an estimation means (33) for estimating the depth, from the coating surface, of an abnormality that is the origin of the surface deficiency by using a change in the calculated feature quantity.
