Abstract:
Provided is a surface-treated calcium carbonate from which a vinyl chloride-based resin composition that is less likely to be colored in a weather resistance test and has excellent impact strength can be obtained.　This surface-treated calcium carbonate is characterized by being treated with a surface treating agent in which the content ratio of a saturated fatty acid in a fatty acid is at least 85 mass%, wherein the content of an iron element is at most 0.01 mass%, the content of a zinc element introduced by the surface treatment is 0.1-2 mass%, and the BET specific surface area is 5-30 m2/g.
