Abstract:
Provided is a surface-treated metal sheet for a battery, the sheet comprising: a metal base material; a nickel layer provided on at least one surface of the metal base material; and a tin layer provided on top of the nickel layer, wherein the tin layer is such that expression (1) and/or expression (2) satisfy being greater than 1. (1) N(220)/N(200)> (2) N(220)/N(400)> In expression (1) and expression (2), N(220) represents the crystal orientation index of the (220)-plane of the tin layer. In expression (1), N(200) represents the crystal orientation index of the (200)-plane of the tin layer, and in expression (2), N(400) represents the crystal orientation index of the (400)-plane of the tin layer.
