Abstract:
The present invention provides a surfboard that can offer sufficient weight reduction, has high adhesion between a frame and an outer plate, and also has excellent durability, and a method for manufacturing the surfboard. A surfboard 10 according to the present invention comprises: a frame 1 configured by combining a plurality of vertical bones 11a and 11b arranged in a longitudinal direction of the surfboard 10 and a plurality of transverse bones 12 arranged in a direction intersecting with the vertical bones; an inner portion 2 that is formed so as to fill a space 13 formed by the vertical bones 11a and 11b and the transverse bones 12; and an outer plate 3 that is formed so as to cover the frame 1 and a surface of the inner portion 2, wherein the outer plate 3 includes, starting from the frame 1 side, a paper layer 31 containing paper and resin, and a reinforcing fiber layer 32 containing fiber and resin.
