Abstract:
Provided are a surgery assisting system and the like that can perform surgery assistance for an operator without increasing burden on a subject to undergo surgery by superimposing a prescribed organ to be recognized by the operator during the surgery on an image captured by an endoscope. A surgery assisting system according to the present disclosure includes: an image acquisition unit that acquires an image captured by an endoscope; an organ area estimation unit that inputs the image acquired by the image acquisition unit to an organ area estimation model that has learned relations between images captured during surgery and positions and ranges of a prescribed organ in the images and estimates the position and the range of the prescribed organ in the image captured by the image acquisition unit; and an estimated area display unit that displays information indicating the position and the range of the prescribed organ estimated by the organ area estimation unit by superimposing the information on the image acquired by the image acquisition unit.
