A surgical device (20) controllable by a surgical robotic system (100) is provided. The surgical device (20) includes a housing (32) capable of being coupled to the surgical robotic system (100); a drive system at least partially mounted in the housing (32); and a shaft (61) rotatably coupled to the drive system at a first end of the shaft (61). The surgical device (20) further includes a tissue-removal assembly (62) coupled to the second end of the shaft (61). The tissue-removal assembly (62) includes a first cutting member (37) having a plurality of rotatable blades (37A, 37B, 37C). The first cutting member (37) is coupled to a second end of the shaft (61). The tissue-removal assembly (62) further includes a second cutting member (36), one or more support elements (67) slidably or fixedly coupled to the second cutting member (36), and one or more extendable elements (66) slidably or fixedly coupled to the second cutting member (36).
