Abstract:
The present invention relates to a surveillance camera device having a sunshield and a method for controlling same and, specifically, to a method for controlling a surveillance camera having a sunshield movable forward and backward and formed on one side of a camera part. The method comprises: a rainfall recognition step in which the camera part captures an image and the image is analyzed to generate rainfall data; a movement step in which the sunshield is moved forward and backward on the basis of pre-stored sunrise or sunset time data and the rainfall data; and a distance limitation step in which when the sunshield is moved, the movement distance of the sunshield is limited by calculating a limitation distance, at which a blind spot does not occur, on the basis of the relationship with a zoom value. Therefore, it is possible to: prevent rainwater from flowing or sunlight from being incident on a lens area of the camera part; and prevent blind spots from occurring.
