Abstract:
Disclosed a sweeper for picking up leaves and debris from lawns and hard surfaces. The sweeper (100) is a motorized sweeping apparatus including a front housing (110), a handle assembly (130), and a catcher assembly (500) attachable to the front housing (110). The front housing (110) includes a battery receptable (401), a drive assembly (400) and a brush assembly (440). The catcher assembly (500) is configured to receiving at least part of debris swept by the brush assembly (440). The battery receptable (401) receives one or more batteries (451) for powering the drive assembly (400). The sweeper (100) further includes at least one side brush (700) attachable to the front housing (110). The handle assembly (130) has a safety switch mechanism activatable only by actuating a first means and a second means simultaneously. The catcher assembly (500) includes a catcher (510) with an internal space and a separator (520) that separates the internal space of the catcher into at least two parts.
