Title:
SWITCH DEVICE FOR ON-BOARD POWER SUPPLY, AND ON-BOARD POWER SUPPLY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/138448
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In the present invention, supply of electricity to a load is maintained even in the event of a ground fault in one of multiple power supply paths. A relay module for on-board power supplies is equipped with: first through third power supply lines; and a main relay and a sub-relay having different current capacities from each other. The first power supply line, the second power supply line, and the third power supply line are connected to a main battery, a sub-battery, and an important load, respectively. The main relay and the sub-relay are disposed between the first power supply line and the third power supply line and between the second power supply line and the third power supply line, respectively. The main relay does not carry electricity when a ground fault has occurred in the first power supply line and carries electricity when a ground fault has occurred in the second power supply line. The sub-relay does not carry electricity when a ground fault has occurred in the second power supply line and carries electricity when a ground fault has occurred in the first power supply line. When neither the first supply line nor the second power supply has an abnormality, either the main relay or the sub-relay, whichever has a larger current capacity, conducts electricity, and the other does not conduct electricity.
