Abstract:
A switch over system for a motor (11) and generator (13) set; includes a battery (18) whose output terminals (17A, 17B) are connected to the contacts of a relay (20) which, in turn, are connected to the motor (11) of said motor and generator set; said motor (11) being adapted to rotate mechanically said generator (13) whereby said generator (13) produces output electrical power; said generator (13) being electrically connected to said motor (11) whereby said generator (13) provides electric power to said motor (11) when said generator (13) is rotating; the relay (20) includes sensing means whereby said relay (20) is caused to disconnect said battery (18) from said motor (11) when said sensing means senses that said generator (13) is producing output electrical power.
