The present application relates to a switching control method and apparatus, an energy storage system, a device, a medium, and a product. The method comprises: obtaining an initially introduced energy storage module of a target energy storage cascading chain; according to the actual introduction time of each energy storage module in the target energy storage cascading chain, acquiring within a present control period an energy storage module to be cut out and an energy storage module to be introduced; based on the acquisition result, adjusting the initially introduced energy storage module, and according to the adjusted initially introduced energy storage module, controlling the switching of each energy storage module in the target energy storage cascading chain. The use of the method incorporates the actual introduction time of each energy storage module in the target energy storage cascading chain, and considers from a time dimension the actual switching state of each energy storage module in the target energy storage cascading chain, allowing for precise balanced control of the switching state of each energy storage module in the target energy storage cascading chain.
