Abstract:
Provided are a switching device and a switching-device adjustment method that can reduce errors in the stroke of a moving electrode. A first fixed electrode (4) travels along the z-direction in conformance with a screw member (72), so that the first fixed electrode (4) momentarily approaches and then moves away from a second fixed electrode (5), whereby the space between the fixed electrodes can be adjusted. In the adjusting, with as a reference a state in which the two fixed electrodes (4, 5) are at their closest approach with a moving electrode (3) sandwiched therebetween, the first fixed electrode (4) is moved away by a predetermined retraction amount so as to have the retraction amount be a stroke (L2) of the moving electrode. Accordingly, the amount of screw-member (72) rotation can be determined on the basis of the screw pitch and said retraction amount, and the screw-member (72) rotation amount can be managed to reduce errors in the stroke of the moving electrode (3).
