Abstract:
Provided are a switching method and device, the method comprising: within a process of a user equipment (UE) switching from a source base station to a target base station, the source base station sends an instruction to the UE to stay connected to the source base station; after the source base station receives notification information issued by the target base station, the source base station releases the connection with the UE, the notification information being used for notifying the source base station to release the connection with the UE. The present solution solves the problem in the prior art of source base station wireless resource wastage caused by a UE autonomously releasing a source base station connection after randomly accessing a target base station, and thereby saves source base station wireless resources in a timely manner.
