Abstract:
A switching power supply apparatus has a main switch (Q1) connected to a DC power supply (1) via a primary winding (N1). A smoothing capacitor (C0) is connected to a secondary winding (N2) via a sync rectifying element (Q2), which comprising a parallel circuit of a sync rectifying semiconductor switch (8) and a diode (D0). In order to render the sync rectifying semiconductor switch (8) ON during ON-state of the diode (D0), there are provided an ON-period deciding capacitor (C1), a charging diode (D1), a resistor (R1), a discharging resistor (R2), switch state signal detecting means (11), and logic circuit means (20). The logic circuit means (20) can precisely establish the ON-period of the sync rectifying semiconductor switch (8).
