Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a synchronization method and a communication apparatus, which can enable a synchronization signal of a low-power-consumption communication system to coexist with a subcarrier of an NR system when low-power-consumption communication systems such as passive IoT or ambient power-enabled IoT are introduced into the NR system. The method comprises: after generating a synchronization signal, a first device sending the synchronization signal to a second device, wherein the synchronization signal is generated by means of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), the synchronization signal comprises a first signal and/or a second signal, the first signal is used for determining a time-domain start location occupied by data that is sent by the first device to the second device, and the second signal is used for determining the frequency of data sent by the second device to the first device.
