Abstract:
Provided are a synchronization signal transmission method and apparatus based on a narrowband-Internet of Things. The method comprises: a communication apparatus determining a first frequency-domain resource and a second frequency-domain resource, wherein the first frequency-domain resource is used for transmitting a first synchronization signal, the second frequency-domain resource is used for transmitting a second synchronization signal, the second frequency-domain resource comprises at least one physical resource block (PRB), and the center frequency F DL2 of each PRB from among the at least one PRB satisfies: F DL2 = F DL1 + k × 180kHz, wherein F DL1 is the center frequency of the first frequency-domain resource, and k is a nonzero integer; and the communication apparatus receiving the first synchronization signal on the first frequency-domain resource and receiving the second synchronization signal on the second frequency-domain resource. In the present application, the synchronization signals are sent by means of increasing frequency-domain resources, so as to enhance the coverage of the synchronization signals, thereby increasing the success rate of a terminal accessing a narrowband-Internet of Things, reducing a delay in the terminal accessing the narrowband-Internet of Things, and accordingly, optimizing the power consumption of the terminal.
