Abstract:
Provided is a synthetic peptide having the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID No. 1, the peptide having obvious anti-tumour growth activity on xenograft tumours such as subcutaneous human pancreatic cancer, human cervical cancer, and human ovarian cancer in nude mice, and having the effect of delaying metastasis and prolonging the survival time of nude mice having orthotopic transplantation of human pancreatic cancer and lung adenocarcinoma; after the animals were given intravenous injection of sp2 at a dose of 2000 mg/kgBW, no toxicity reaction and death were observed, being highly safe. Also provided are uses for the Sp2 in (1) preventing and/or treating of tumours; (2) inhibiting tumour cell proliferation and/or growth and/or invasion; (3) strengthening the anti-tumour immune response; (4) inducing tumour cell differentiation; (5) preparing a class of anti-tumour drugs; (6) inhibiting tumour telomerase activity; (7) regulating the tumour cell cycle; and (8) preparing a class of products for regulating the tumour cell cycle.
