Abstract:
A system for controlling a synchronous motor, comprising a current sensor for measuring the electric current of a synchronous motor; a coordinate transformer for coordinate-transforming the electric current measured by the current sensor into an electric current on a rotational biaxial coordinates (d-q axes) rotating at an angular frequency w; a current controller for outputting a voltage command on the rotational biaxial coordinates (d-q axes) so that the electric current on the rotating biaxial coordinates (d-q axes) may follow up the electric current command on the rotating biaxial coordinates (d-q axes); a coordinate transformer for coordinate-transforming the voltage command, outputted from the current controller, on the rotating biaxial coordinates (d-q axes) into a three-phase voltage command; an adaptive observer for calculating the angular frequency w and the estimated current, the estimated rotor magnetic flux and the estimated rotational speed of the synchronous motor on the basis of the electric current on the rotating biaxial coordinates (d-q axes) and the voltage command on the rotating biaxial coordinates (d-q axes); and an inverter for applying a voltage to the synchronous motor on the basis of the voltage command. The adaptive observer calculates the angular frequency w so that the q-axis component of the estimated rotor magnetic flux may be zero.
