Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for detecting the position of a missing child and a method therefor, the method being characterized by comprising the steps of: a portable terminal repeatedly receiving a beacon signal from a beacon, which is provided on the clothes of a child; calculating an actually-measured circle, which indicates the position of the child, on the basis of the received beacon signal; calculating a virtual circle, which indicates the predicted position of the child; and calculating the point of intersection between the actually-measured circle and the virtual circle. The present invention provides information regarding the position of and direction in which a disappearance has occurred, even when the child has moved out of the communication range, such that the missing child can be easily found.
