Abstract:
An occupant detection system for detecting a vehicle occupant, wherein an imaging unit (10, 20) captures an image of the cabin and a lighting unit (11) illuminates the field of view of the imaging unit. A lighting control unit (22) automatically controls the lighting unit so as to effect a change in the integral of the light intensity of the lighting unit. An occupant detection unit (21) detects an occupant on the basis of the image captured by the imaging unit.
