Abstract:

Embodiments of the present application provide a system information transmission method. A terminal device detects a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). Here, the PDCCH carries indication information used for indicating whether first system information of a network device is updated. If the terminal device determines that the indication information indicates that the first system information is updated, the updated first system information is received. According to the method, power consumption generated when the terminal device obtains system information can be reduced, and the obtaining efficiency of system information of the terminal device and user experience can be improved.
