Abstract:
A system according to the present invention is provided with: a water electrolysis device which generates hydrogen by electrolyzing water vapor by utilizing fluctuating electric power that is derived from renewable energy; a reactor which generates a hydrocarbon by having CO2 react with hydrogen; an evaporator which generates water vapor by evaporating water by means of the heat generated by the reaction in the reactor; a heat exchanger which heats the water vapor by means of exhaust from the water electrolysis device and supplies the water vapor to the electrolysis device; and a heat storage unit for the reactor, the heat storage unit comprising a heat storage material that stores heat generated by the hydrocarbonization.
