Abstract:
A method for estimating radioactivity of a radiation source located inside an object is disclosed. The method for estimating radioactivity of a radiation source located inside an object comprises the steps of: obtaining response information of gamma rays emitted from a radiation source inside an object, by using a Compton camera and calculating position information of the radiation source from the response information of the gamma rays; calculating gamma-ray measurement efficiency by using attenuation information of gamma rays inside the object and attenuation information of gamma rays within the Compton camera; and estimating radioactivity of the radiation source by using the response information of the gamma rays and the measurement efficiency of the gamma rays.
