A system and method for monitoring the volume of a rotary evaporation liquid in real time using a laser calibration method, the system comprising a rotary evaporator; one side of the rotary evaporator is connected to a support; the upper side of the support is connected to a calibration plate by means of a hinge; one side of the calibration plate is provided with a scale, and the other side is fixedly connected to a sliding table; an adjusting screw passes through the sliding table, and a laser support is in threaded connection with the adjusting screw; a laser and an indicator needle are connected side by side below the laser support; the indicator needle is provided directly above the scale; and a rotary steaming bottle is wrapped with an indicator strip. Compared to the prior art, the system and method for monitoring the volume of a rotary evaporation liquid in real time using a laser calibration method of the present invention use a laser spot emitted by the laser to record data when same coincides with the edge of the rotary evaporation liquid surface and the indicator strip, and plots same into a standard curve diagram. In a laboratory, the value of the liquid volume in the rotary steaming bottle may be obtained by means of comparing the reading of the indicator needle with a previously plotted standard curve.
