Abstract:
A system and method for preparing erythritol and polydextrose from corn starch. The system comprises a pulp conditioning tank, a liquefying tank, a saccharifying tank, a filter, a first ion exchange system, a nanofiltration unit, a high-temperature polycondensation unit, and a fermentation and crystallization unit. Corn starch is used as a raw material, is subjected to liquefaction and saccharification treatments to obtain a glucose fluid, and is subjected to a treatment of the nanofiltration unit to respectively obtain a permeate fluid containing high-concentration glucose and a trapped fluid containing low-concentration glucose; the high-purity glucose fluid is used for preparing erythritol by means of fermentation; and the low-purity glucose fluid is used for preparing polydextrose. Two high-value products, i.e., erythritol and polydextrose, can be prepared at the same time, and meanwhile, the problem of discharging a mother liquor does not exist, the mother liquor treatment cost is reduced, and the high-value utilization of the low-purity glucose liquid is achieved to the maximum extent.
