Abstract:
Embodiments of the application may produce a dramatic reduction in reference signal overhead, enabling channel estimation and acquisition of MIMO with a very large bandwidth in the 10~13GHz range and a very ultra large number of antenna ports and a very large number of transmission layers, and exploit channel correlation in time/frequency/spatial domain to allow joint channel estimate and interpolation in multiple domains, and enable non-linear channel interpolation algorithms. Key problems of such MIMO applications are solved. Firstly, a new signaling to indicate the topology structure of channel vectors is provided. Secondly, UE behavior is defined in terms of channel estimation and interpolation, based on the indicated topology structure. Thirdly, reference signal patterns are derived, again based on the topology structure.
