Disclosed are a system and a method for a relay advertisement using an acquaintance, in which advertisement viewing is induced by using a relationship such as an acquaintance so that marketing is effectively performed through an advertisement and an opportunity to acquire an advertisement profit can be provided to/obtained by an advertisement viewer and participant. To this end, a relay advertisement system using an acquaintance is provided, wherein the system comprises: an initiator terminal in which a relay advertisement application for transmitting relay start information including a first contact selected by an initiator is installed; an acquaintance terminal in which a relay advertisement application for transmitting an advertisement viewing signal according to a selection of an acquaintance and outputting an advertisement image associated with the advertisement viewing signal is installed; and a management server which transmits relay request information to the acquaintance terminal matched to the first contact when the relay start information transmitted from the initiator terminal is received through a communication network, and transmits an advertisement image stored in an advertisement database to the acquaintance terminal when the advertisement viewing signal is received from the acquaintance terminal having received the relay request information. According to the present invention, an advertisement can be promptly delivered to a plurality of people through a social relationship such as an acquaintance, and an advertisement view rate is enhanced by inducing the people to view the advertisement through an acquaintance relationship, whereby an advertisement effect can be maximized.
