Abstract:
A system and method of sizing an inner diameter (604) of the center bore (104) of a laminated rotor (300) is provided. The inner diameter d of the center bore (104) is determined by taking a series of measurements in the center bore (104) with an electronic gauge (710) and then analyzing the measurements to determine the acceptability of the rotor (300). The electronic gauge (710) is inserted into the center bore (104) of the rotor (300) and measurements of the inner diameter d of the center bore (104) are taken at a variety of different depths and positions using the electronic gauge (710). The measurements are then analyzed to determine if the rotor (300) is acceptable for use by evaluating the measurements with respect to a reference diameter and a depth in the center bore (104).
