Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for synchronizing video signals inputted from a camera with corresponding sensor signals by: transmitting a synchronization signal from a synchronization device to a sensor module including a synchronization clock and a camera device including a synchronization clock so as to synchronize the synchronization clocks; adding acquisition times to video and sensor signals acquired by the sensor module and the camera device; and transmitting the video and sensor signals to a central control device and a computer device so as to synchronize the video and sensor signals. According to the present invention, the system for synchronizing video and sensor signals comprises: a camera device including a first synchronization clock and configured to generate a video signal by photographing an object, add acquisition time information of the first synchronization clock to the video signal, and output the video signal; a sensor device including a second synchronization clock and configured to generate a sensor signal corresponding the video signal as a result of a sensing operation, add acquisition time information of the second synchronization clock to the sensor signal, and output the sensor signal; a central control device configured to receive the sensor signal, including the acquisition time information, from the sensor device and control the sensor signal to be transmitted to a computer device; a synchronization device including a reference clock to simultaneously transmit a reference time to the camera device and to the sensor device at regular intervals so as to synchronize the first and second synchronization clocks; and said computer device, configured to receive the sensor signal including the acquisition time information from the central control device and the video signal including the acquisition time from the camera device, check the respective acquisition time information of the sensor and video signals, and synchronize the sensor and the video signals by setting the signals in the same time period. According to the present invention, video and sensor signals can be synchronized according to the surrounding environment. In addition, multi-channel high-rate video signals can be synchronized with corresponding sensor signals to provide improved service to users. Further, acquired video and sensor signals can be easily synchronized regardless of whether wired or wireless communication means are being used, and thus the video and sensor signals can be precisely and easily analyzed.
