Claims

1 . A system, for introducing removable parts closely upon a part-receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts comprising: a. ) a part-receptive object; b. ) at least one removable part, which is any of closely fittable to the part-receptive object or closely refittable to the part- receptive object or closely retrofittable to the part- receptive object, so that the removable part may be replaceable with a similar part, which is also to be removable, or replaceable with a dissimilar part, which also to be removable, or even dispensable, without substitution; wherein said removable part fastens closely upon a part-receptive object or to another so removable part upon a part- receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts and said removable part so attaches to a part-receptive object after the fabrication of the part- receptive object and said removable part is separable from a part- receptive object to allow substitution of another removable part for that removable part or to dispense with said removable part without substitution, so as to facilitate a change of look or adding-on a function to the part-receptive object, without affecting the original integrity of the part-receptive object as it was at fabrication of the part-receptive object before any introduction of the system and methods herein.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein said removable part is an attachment preferably in form of panel, sleeve, strap as cradle, shell, encapsulation and/or electrical part utilizing electricity or part utilizing electronics.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein said part-receptive object is a container in form of shell.

4. The system of claim 3, wherein said container is a bag or luggage or shoe.

The system of claim 1 , wherein said exchangeable removable part and successor part can be in form of different shapes forms and not necessarily congruent with a part- receptive object and wherein, when more than one part is attachable to a part-receptive object, the forms of the said parts may be either congruent or not congruent among themselves and wherein any said part on a part- receptive object may communicate with some other said part, whether that other said part is on the same said object or is elsewhere.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein said exchangeable removable parts are made of natural materials or synthetic materials and not necessarily the same materials as the materials of the part- receptive object.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein said part-receptive object contains electrification apparatus, comprising at least: a. ) an electric current transmissive contact b. ) a filament for conducting electricity c. ) a battery

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein said part-receptive object contains electronification apparatus, comprising at least an electronic micro-processor.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein a removable part may be luminescent.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein a fastener attaching a removable part upon a part- receptive object shall allow for both bringing said part closely upon said part-receptive object and readily taking away said part from said part- receptive object through utilizing some or another means of removability via separability of a close fastener, for example, without limitation, snap, hook and loop, adhesive, tackiness, magnetism, zipper, button, screw, tongue in groove, hook and ring, lacing, tension.

1 1 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said part- receptive object is an encapsulatable object.

12. The system of claim 1 1 , wherein said encapsulatable object is an eyeglass frame, jewellery, earring(s) or umbrella.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR INTRODUCING REMOVABLE PARTS CLOSELY

UPON PART-RECEPTIVE OBJECT AFTER FABRICATION

Field

[001 ] The present disclosure relates to a system for introducing removable parts closely upon a part-receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts.

Background

[002] Nowadays, modifying exteriors of products after fabrications of the objects isn't easy other than attaching decorations only loosely, for example "danglers" on bags. To obtain different feels or shapes or functions the consumer typically buys another product, adding expense, waste and inconvenience when the consumer liked the original product. After fabrication of the original product, the fabricator or a seller or a consumer of that product may want to exchange one or more of the external parts of it for corresponding other part(s), whether the other part(s) be for sale with the original product or by a seller of that product or from some other seller.

[003] There is disclosed a system and the relevant methods for introducing removable parts closely upon a part-receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts: especially, while without limitation, so that selectable part(s) after fabrication of the part(s)-receptive object are, closely, fittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment or, closely, refittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment or, closely, retrofittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment.

Description

[0022] The present disclosure provides a system and methods for introducing removable parts closely upon a part-receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts for implementing the same, as will be described in further details hereunder.

[0023] The present disclosure relates to a system and methods for introducing removable parts closely upon a part-receptive object without having had to accommodate the removable parts at the time of fabrication of said object and without having to materially affect the original integrity of said object in order to accommodate the removable parts: especially, while without limitation, so that selectable part(s) after fabrication of the part(s)-receptive object are, closely, fittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment or, closely, refittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment or, closely, retrofittable to the object in another exemplary embodiment. Introduction of means of affixing removable parts upon a part-receptive object may take place after fabrication of said object

[0024] Figure 1 shows an embodiment 1 with fasteners 2 to the perimeter. The case of the device in this exemplary embodiment has a border around a cutout allowing for the means of presenting the medium to deliver it externally. In another exemplary embodiment, the shell attaches to the side of the perimeter of the device. In another exemplary embodiment, the means of attaching shell and device are on the inside of the shell and the back of the perimeter of the device. Figure 2 shows a removable shell 3 with corresponding fasteners 4. Fasteners on the outside of the embodiment match up to the corresponding fasteners on the removable shell, the number and spacing and positioning of the fasteners being a preference in design, in respect of, for example, while not limited to, shape, dimensions and weight of panel, that the Invention provides for. Fasteners on the inside of the removable shell match up to the corresponding fasteners on outside of the embodiment. Bringing together the fasteners on the inside of the shell and the outside of the embodiment attaches the shell and the device while leaving the shell removable by separating the fasteners.

[0025] In some embodiments, which is a pre-existing bag, for example, while not limited to, a women's bag, removability of the panel(s) on some part(s) of the exterior of the bag allow for swapping a panel for another panel without having to alter the integrity of the bag. The Invention provides for the tensility of the bag to range from soft in another exemplary embodiment to hard in another exemplary embodiment. The Invention provides for the tensility of the panel to range from soft in another exemplary embodiment to hard in another exemplary embodiment.

[0026] In some embodiments, swapping panels allows for altering the look in another exemplary embodiment or feel (material) in another exemplary embodiment or functionality (including, for example, while not limited to, introducing functionality of an electric/electronic nature) in another exemplary embodiment.

[0027] Swapping panels preserves the bag while allowing for varying it after fabrication of it. Conventionally a bag incorporates panels permanently. Altering a panel in such a bag, in the absence of uneconomical^ tearing apart the bag to replace the panel, has usually meant replacing the entire bag.

[0028] Figure 4 shows a bag 5 with fasteners to the perimeter. While the bag in this exemplary embodiment has an outside pocket between the shell and panel, having a pocket is only a preference in design of product. Fasteners on the outside of the bag match up to the corresponding fasteners on the exchangeable panel, the number and spacing and positioning of the fasteners being a preference in design in respect of, for example, while not limited to, shape, dimensions and weight of panel. Fasteners on the inside of the panel 7 match up to the corresponding fasteners on outside of the bag. The panel-electrification apparatus comprises an electrically sensitive film on the panel, electrical current transmissive contact to make the connection with the corresponding electrical-current transmissive contact at the corresponding position just inside the bag, an electronic switch and a filament to conduct electricity to the electrodes touching the film in order to activate the film to switch to showing a color from no color. The electronic switch resides with a processor and a near-field communications (NFC) radio to receive instructions from a controller, which is an application in a smartphone. The battery is flush with the contact in the material of the bag to meet the contact on the inside of the panel. Figure 6 shows a side view of a bag after matching up the fasteners with the panel. As the fasteners hold together the bag and the panel with the electrical and electronic elements in the panel, the electrical-current transmissive contacts of panel and battery in bag meet, so that the electrical current can run from the battery through the electrical connection through the switch controlled by the electronic processor into the filament to reach the electrodes. Through wireless near-field communication (NFC) the app instructs the electronic processor to turn the switch on or off to control the flow of electric current into the filament.

[0029] In another exemplary embodiment, the exchangeable panel can attach to a pocket on the side of a bag instead of directly to the shell of the bag.

[0030] A panel may be electrically activatable in another exemplary embodiment. That electric current may power an electronic processing module as well in another exemplary embodiment. In another exemplary embodiment:

the exchangeable panel that slips into and out of a sleeve includes an electrically activatable luminescent film that is transparent when off and a color when on; in another exemplary embodiment, an electronic ink coats the panel; in another exemplary embodiment, the material of the panel is responsive to electricity

filament conducts electrical current to the electrodes in the panel to activate the film from the transmission point at an edge of the panel;

after slipping the panel into the sleeve the correct way, the transmission point at the edge of the panel contacts the transmission point at the base of the sleeve to receive the electrical current;

the electrical current comes from a rechargeable battery, in another exemplary embodiment a conventional watch battery;

the battery, in another exemplary embodiment a conventional watch battery or in another exemplary embodiment a mobile battery or in another exemplary embodiment the storage unit complementing a solar cell upon the bag, resides in an unobtrusive pod inside a flap in the base of the bag;

the switch:

o is electronic,

o resides at the transmissive contact between panel and sleeve,

o is turned on or off by a wireless instruction, for example, while not limited to, from an application in a smart phone in another exemplary embodiment, while in another exemplary embodiment the switch responds to a voice command and in other exemplary embodiment the switch is a button squeezable through the material of the bag at the base of the sleeve, the selectability of mode(s) of switch being provided for by this Invention.

[0031 ] In some embodiments, the shape of the panel is discretionary, subject to preferences in design:

The shape of the panel may be, for example, congruent with the shape of the bag on the side of the bag that accommodates the panel to allow fabrication of the panel, sale of it and selection of it apart from the fabrication, selection and sale of the bag, whatever that shape, for example, while not limited to, any of rectilinear, circular or trapezoidal.

Subject to the discretion of designer, the shape of the panel may, for example, differ from the shape of the bag to achieve an effect, in another exemplary embodiment.

Whether to attach only one panel or two panels or multiple panels to a bag is a preference: In another exemplary embodiment, only one location on the bag hosts an exchangeable panel. In another exemplary embodiment, each of two locations of a bag host an exchangeable panel. In another exemplary embodiment, each of multiple parts of the bag host an exchangeable panel.

[0032] In some embodiments, a panel attaches to the outside of a bag so that the panel is removable from the bag:

The means of fixing the panel to the bag may use any of alternatives at the time, whether now or in future, that provide for removability of the panel(s) that the means affix closely to the exterior of the bag as it is before attaching the panel(s) : for example, while not limited,

[0033] Whatever the means, they have to allow for removability of the panel to preserve exchangeability. The selection of means is a preference of design of product in regard of, for example, while not limited to, how tensile the panel should be, how rigid the material is, the weight of the panel, in addition to look and feel intended by the designer. Whatever the means, they have to allow for removability of the panel to preserve exchangeability. A part of the bag that accommodates a panel may be any of a flank of the bag or one of the ends of the bag, for example, while not limited to, where it is boxy or cylindrical or tetrahedronal.

In certain shapes of bags, for example, while not limited to, another exemplary embodiment wherein the bag is cylindrical, the panel may flexibly wrap around the bag including part of the bottom of the bag, while not the ends, like seaweed wrapping sushi, instead of sandwiching the bag between two panels. Subject to preferences of design, in regard of, for example, while not limited to, how tensile the panel is, the shape of the bag to attach the panel to and the weight of the panel, the means of affixing the panel to the bag may reside at an edge of the panel in another exemplary embodiment or around the perimeter of the panel in another exemplary embodiment or inward from the perimeter of the panel in another exemplary embodiment.

In certain shapes of bags, especially shapes where a panel may not be apt - for example, while not limited to, another exemplary embodiment wherein the bag is spherical (including oval) - the exchangeable panel is a "skin". It envelops most of the bag. The skin attaches to the bag, closely, by means of any of, for example, while not limited to,

o fasteners (for example, while not limited to,

snaps in another exemplary embodiment

hook and loop in another exemplary embodiment

tackiness (e.g. thin double-side tape) in another exemplary embodiment

zippers in another exemplary embodiment screws in another exemplary embodiment

o elasticity of the skin that stretches to grip the bag in another exemplary embodiment o inherent conformity like glove around hand in another exemplary embodiment.

° In another exemplary embodiment, an opening in the skin is a mouth that swallows the bag. The opening in the skin also allows the handles to protrude in another exemplary embodiment. In another exemplary embodiment: the skin is elastic, it can expand to envelop the bag and an opening in the skin allows the handles of the bag to protrude.

In another exemplary embodiment: the bag is malleable, it can squeeze into the skin, which need not be (so) elastic, and an opening in the skin allows the handles of the bag to protrude.

° In another exemplary embodiment: the skin envelops the bag from top down, a hole in the skin allows the handles of the bag to protrude, and the skin has excess material that droops down like a train from the bag.

[0034] The Invention provides that any bag allowing for exchanging panel(s) attaching to the bag can be of any of various sizes, shapes and capacities:

[0036] In some embodiments, a pre-existing bag, for example, while not limited to a women's bag, accommodates both inserting a panel into a sleeve in the shell of the bag and removing the panel, to allow for swapping a panel for another panel by slipping out one panel from the sleeve and inserting into the sleeve the other panel without having to alter the integrity of the bag. The Invention provides for the tensility of the bag to range from soft in another exemplary embodiment to hard in another exemplary embodiment. The Invention provides for the tensility of the panel to range from soft in another exemplary embodiment to hard in another exemplary embodiment. The area(s) of the bag that includes the sleeve on the inside of that area may be a flank of the bag in another exemplary embodiment or one of the ends of the bag in another exemplary embodiment, for example, while not limited to, where it is boxy in another exemplary embodiment or cylindrical in another exemplary embodiment or tetrahedron in another exemplary embodiment, or two to several areas.

In that area are cut-outs of a shape or more than one shape in such a way that a panel in the corresponding sleeve will show through the cut-out(s), for example, while not limited to, displaying a color or pattern or a material.

Introducing the sleeve into the bag may be accomplished by one of several ways compatible with apt fabrication at the time, now or future, for example the following method in another exemplary embodiment:

Permanently attach (for example, while not limited to, by sewing on) a sufficiently robust section of additional material to the inside of that exterior to construct a sleeve.

Leave the top seam between the exterior and the additional material open to allow for inserting the removable panel.

The dimensions of the sleeve and the respective panel correspond to allow snug insertion of panel inside sleeve, thereby introducing the panel as an additional separable part, while allowing easy removal of that panel from the sleeve.

[0037] In some embodiments, a combination of sleeve and panel may be non-rectilinear, for example, while not necessarily, trapezoidal. The corresponding shapes of the panel and the sleeve may be congruent with the non-rectilinear shape of the respective part of the bag or the corresponding shapes of the panel and the sleeve may be different from the respective part (for example, while not necessarily, a hexagon on the triangular part of a tetrahedron). In such cases, alternative ways of retaining the panel in the sleeve may be apt, for example, while not limited to, one of the following methods:

Enlarging the top of slot of the sleeve to the width of the panel so that the sleeve flaps open can accommodate a non-rectilinear shape, for example, while not limited to, circle in another exemplary embodiment, triangle in another exemplary embodiment, or trapezoid in another exemplary embodiment.

■ In another exemplary embodiment, flapping the sleeve open from one or the other side to the height of the panel can likewise accommodate non-rectilinear shapes.

Where introducing the panel into the sleeve from top would be challenging (for example, while not limited to, when they are trapezoidal), one way to facilitate the combination of panel and sleeve is, in another exemplary embodiment, to introduce the panel through the bottom of the sleeve while having sealed the rest of the perimeter of the sleeve. [0038] Where the sleeve flaps open to accommodate panel in another exemplary embodiment or the bottom seam is open in another exemplary embodiment, some reinforcement to retain the panel in the sleeve may be necessary. For example, while not limited to, any of apt fastenings - for example, while not limited to, snaps or zipper or tackiness - that are available at the time, whether now or in future may suffice, when the snugness of the fit of panel inside sleeve doesn't retain the panel. This Invention provides for:

selectability of which side the flap the sleeve open from in another exemplary embodiment

selectability between flapping the sleeve open or leaving the bottom of the sleeve open in another exemplary embodiment

selectability of fastening(s) in another exemplary embodiment.

[0040] In some embodiments, the sleeve resides on the outside of the exterior of the bag not on the inside of the exterior of the bag. The sleeve may be different from the exterior, for example, while not limited to, a different color, a different material, a different thickness, as a preference. Introducing the sleeve into the exterior of the bag may be accomplished by one of several ways compatible with apt fabrication at the time, now or future, for example the following:

■ Permanently attach (for example, while not limited to, by sewing on) a sufficiently robust section of additional material to the outside of the exterior to construct a sleeve.

Leave the top seam between the exterior and the additional material open to allow for inserting the removable panel.

The dimensions of the sleeve and the respective panel correspond to allow snug insertion of panel inside sleeve, thereby introducing the panel as an additional separable part, while allowing easy removal of that panel from the sleeve.

In some embodiments, A panel may be electrically activatable in another exemplary embodiment. That electric current may power an electronic processing module as well in another exemplary embodiment. In another exemplary embodiment: the exchangeable panel that slips into and out of a sleeve includes an electrically activatable luminescent film that is transparent when off and a color when on; in another exemplary embodiment, an electronic ink coats the panel; in another exemplary embodiment, the material of the panel is responsive to electricity

o is turned on or off by a wireless instruction, for example, while not limited to, from an application in a smart phone, while in another exemplary embodiment the switch responds to a voice command and in other exemplary embodiment the switch is a button squeezable through the material of the bag at the base of the sleeve, the selection of mode(s) of switch being a preference.

[0041 ] In some embodiments, the sleeve includes a one large cutout, not an array of cutouts; when the panel slips into the sleeve, it displays the entire panel except for a thin margin of perimeter framed by the sleeve; as the retention of the panel by the sleeve will be much diminished by the absence of material from cutting out most of the sleeve, the panel attaches to the back of the sleeve by one of the aptly available means at the time, whether now or in future, in this embodiment an array of microsnaps.

[0042] In some embodiments, a bag comprises a container to hold contents of the bag and a cradle encompassing the container to support it: to suspend from handles in another exemplary embodiment or to suspend from a strap attaching to the cradle by hooks and rings in another exemplary embodiment or from a strap attaching to the container by hooks and rungs in another exemplary embodiment or to suspend from a harness as in a backpack in another exemplary embodiment. The Invention provides for the tensility of the container to range from soft in another exemplary embodiment to hard in another exemplary embodiment. ■ The cradle and container are separable. The separability of cradle and container allows for exchanging the cradle for a different one, which in another exemplary embodiment is a different color or which in another exemplary embodiment is a different material or which in another exemplary embodiment provides additional functionality. The separability of cradle and container allows for exchanging the container, for example, without limitation, a pouch, for a different one, which in another exemplary embodiment is a different color or which in another exemplary embodiment is a different material or which in another exemplary embodiment provides additional functionality.

The cradle incorporates a sling to attach to the container to support it from the bottom, straps to run around the container to buttress it and handles extending from the straps in order to hold the bag:

In another exemplary embodiment, the sling and the straps up to and including the handles are separable.

° In another exemplary embodiment the loops of the handles are large enough to slip over a shoulder as well as be grasped by hands. In another exemplary embodiment, the container includes a ring at each of the container to hook on a strap to suspend the bag from the shoulder ("a shoulder strap") in addition to the handles. In another exemplary embodiment, an additional set of adjustable straps attach to the cradle so that the bag is wearable as a backpack.
