Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for monitoring a vehicle brake pad, comprising: a central control unit for determining when to replace a brake pad by using a traveling pattern of a driver and the wear amount of the vehicle brake pad; a pattern analysis unit which is linked to an electronic control module (ECM) of a vehicle, and which receives traveling information about the vehicle from the ECM so as to analyze the traveling pattern of the driver and transmit same to the central control unit; and a wear amount measurement unit mounted on the vehicle brake pad so as to directly measure the wear amount of the brake pad and transmit same to the central control unit.
