Abstract:

The present application belongs to the technical field of electronic devices, and provides a system power consumption control method and an electronic device. The method comprises: confirming that an electronic device enters a first mode, the electronic device determining the power loss of a battery and the number of communications of background processes, wherein the power loss is a reduced power value relative to the power at a first moment, the first moment is a starting moment when the electronic device enters the first mode, and the number of communications is used to indicate the total number of communications with other devices counted from the start of the startup of the electronic device for all processes currently running in the background; and when the power loss reaches a preset power threshold and the number of communications reaches a preset number of communications, the electronic device shuts off a network communication connection. According to the method in the embodiments of the present application, by means of monitoring changes in battery power and the number of communications of background processes, once an electronic device enters a first mode, the power of the electronic device may be prevented from dropping sharply due to frequent communication of the background processes, which then affects the user experience.
