Abstract:
A system (1) for producing an optical display device, wherein the system (1) includes: a pasting device (13, 17) for unrolling from a jumbo roll (R1) a belt-shaped optical member sheet (F) wider than the length of either the long side or the short side of a display region (P4) of an optical display part (P), obtaining a sheet piece (FXm) by cutting the optical member sheet to a greater length than the other of either the long side or the short side of the display region of the optical member sheet, and pasting the sheet piece onto the optical display part; a cutting device (15A, 15B) for separating from the sheet piece pasted to the optical display part the excess portion (Y) disposed on the outer side of the portion opposing the sheet piece corresponding to the display region, and forming an optical member (F11, F12) sized in correspondence to the display region; and a recovery device (30, 40) for securing the excess portion, separating the portion from the optical member, and recovering the excess portion.
