Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for tracking stolen vehicles, the system allowing the police or a vehicle owner to track a stolen vehicle more easily by: attaching a beacon tag or a Bluetooth tag onto which an identification number and associated information for a vehicle, motorcycle or bicycle have been entered; when a theft of the concerned vehicle is reported, receiving and storing information regarding the theft of the concerned vehicle in a mobile terminal carried by an individual or the police; when the stolen vehicle to which a beacon tag or a Bluetooth tag has been attached is in the vicinity of the mobile terminal, the beacon tag or Bluetooth tag transmitting the vehicle information to the mobile terminal; and the mobile terminal automatically recognizing the vehicle information and automatically transmitting the location information and vehicle number of the stolen vehicle to the relevant authorities.
