Title:
SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING ANIMATION IMAGE SIGNALS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1987/005180
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A system for transmitting animation image signals wherein information is compressed on the sending side by encoding the animation image in the frame and among the frames, the image signal is divided into transmission frames of a predetermined length, and headers (A, B, C) are added thereto to discriminate whether they are the first transmission frame, intermediate transmission frame, or last transmission frame. The receiving side informs the sending side of the rationality of the order of receiving the headers (A, B, C) and the result of code errors. When the sending side is informed of errors from the receiving side, the sending side encodes the image frame in the frame only just after it is informed of errors, and compresses the information by subsequent frames by encoding the image frame in the frame and among the frames, recovering from effects of the errors in a short period of time.
