Abstract:

A system and method for detecting lane markings in a high-definition map is disclosed. An exemplary method includes receiving an image of the high-definition map that includes a road with at least one lane marking, and extracting road patches from the image, each road patch encompassing a section of the road. The method further includes transforming sub-images each containing a road patch to adjust an orientation of the road patch in the sub-image. The method also includes segmenting the transformed sub-images using a learning network and detecting the lane marking of the road based on the segmentation results of the transformed sub-images.
