Provided is a tablet-inspecting device with improved precision in determining tablet number or tablet variety that is capable of stably inspecting drugs. The device: disposes a continuous drug packet-driving unit (9) upstream from an imaging unit (10) on a conveyor path (8); disposes a rod (12), which is pressed against the side of a drug packet (3), between the continuous drug packet-driving unit (9) and the imaging unit (10); and has a rod control unit (20A) that operates the rod (12) and a control unit (40), which gives operation instructions to the continuous drug packet-driving unit (9) and the rod control unit (20A). The control unit (40) gives operation instructions to the continuous drug packet-driving unit (9) to move the continuous drug packet (1) from the upstream side of the conveyor path (8) to the downstream side and reciprocating operation instructions to move the continuous drug packet (1) alternately to the upstream side and to the downstream side of the conveyor path (8), and gives rod-pressing instructions to the rod control unit (20A) to press the rod (12) against the side of a drug packet (3). The device is characterized in that when reciprocating operation instructions are being given to the continuous drug packet-driving unit (9), rod-pressing instructions are being given to the rod control unit (20A).
