Abstract:
A tamper-proof mounting strap (10) is provided for securing a monitoring device (12) to a part of a person. The mounting strap (10) includes a first strap half (26) and a second strap half (28) molded together with each strap half (26, 28) extending between an attachment end (18) of the mounting strap (10) and a terminal end (22) of the mounting strap (10) to define an elongate length of the mounting strap (10). The mounting strap (10) is affixed to the housing (16) of the monitoring device (12) with the attachment end (18) of the mounting strap (10). A continuity element (34) and at least one cut resistant member (36, 38) are located between the first strap half (26) and the second strap half (28).
